Dr. Dhruv Pateder
Dhruv B. Pateder, MD, is a board-certified spinal surgeon who specializes in both non-operative and operative spinal care. His surgical practice is focused on disc replacement, robotic surgery, complex scoliosis surgery and minimally invasive procedures. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Dr. Pateder did further training in neurosurgical spine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Pateder has been treating patients in his local community of Northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC since 2007. Additionally, he also treats patients from all over the US and the world.
For most patients with spinal issues, non-operative care resolves the problem in a vast majority of cases. However, when non-operative care fails to treat pain and daily life is affected, spine surgery may be indicated. Dr. Pateder offers an individualized approach to patient care including examinations, treatments and strategies that are thoroughly discussed with the patient to make the best and most informed treatment decisions. His treatment goals are to return patients to normal, pain-free life and activities as quickly as possible. The multi-disciplinary team of specialists in Dr. Pateder’s office strive to provide professional and personalized care.
